MICHAEL “POOCH” PUCCINI
BIOGRAPHY
Michael “Pooch” Puccini is a California-born and -bred, veteran comedy writer and performer currently
based in Denver, Colorado.
In 2010, he received a booked audition for Last Comic Standing 7 without an agent
or manager (very rare) and was not only included in the show’s second
week (the New York auditions) but was also featured in the nationwide prime-time commercials
for the program – including being seen during the Oprah show in Los Angeles.
Prior to relocating his comedy operations to Denver in August 2008 to expand his audience outreach,
Pooch performed extensively for more than a decade in both the northern and southern California regions. The San Jose
native’s high-energy, positive, unconventional performance has been well-received
at all of the major Hollywood comedy venues (Laugh Factory, Comedy Store,
Hollywood Improv), on national and cable television, at California college
campuses, in independent Hollywood films, in the 2007 32ND Annual
International San Francisco Stand-up Comedy Competition, and now in states throughout
the Rocky Mountains region (Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, New
Mexico, Nebraska).
By combining a unique look and persona with a positive
attitude and a variety of comedy styles – including original California-culture-based
material, audience participation, freestyle, props, and song-and-dance – Michael "Pooch" Puccini has the rare ability to reach a wide variety of audiences.
He also enjoys long walks on the beach, strawberry cheesecake ice cream and playing Nintendo.
